• one with sterile saline for drawing out the lock solution,
• a second empty syringe to take the blood sample, and
• a third with lock solution to push back the blood and keep the catheter patent for the next sample. 

We make the solutions following the USP standard for compounding sterile pharmaceutical preparations, and fill high-quality BD® syringes using aseptic technique. The syringe tips are sealed to keep the contents sterile.
