For studies that require two compounds to be infused simultaneously into separate vessels, use a two-channel Vascular Access Button™ connected to a two-channel swivel and two syringe pumps.
The alternative is to use a single channel system with a Y-connector above the swivel. The catheterization surgery will be easier, but the compounds will mix in the line and so you cannot be certain that they will arrive at the vessel at the exact rate of the pump.
If you need to take blood samples during the study, place a third catheter and use a three-channel button with a sampling port outside the cage.
